Curruption The Big Enemy

Corruption! Corruption! Corruption!Corruption!...ption ... Common

Corruption become normal every where. Every body says some bodies else be clean and proper. No body accepts "I am also part of some body. I should also be clean".

Recently, I met a person when I was traveling to my village from Delhi at Gudur railway junction. I took a break journey to go to my village (Delhi to Gudur, Gudur to Chittoor). I was waiting for a train that go towards my destination. In this time I met this guy, who also took break journey to reach his home town. We had a small introduction on our where abouts and small a chit chat on the railways employees and their laziness. Until that time I did not even think that two hands are required to make sound. One is receiver (of bribe) and other is giver (bribe).

Reason for my above comment is our discussion.

We had purchased a general ticket to travel from Gudur to our destination. But we were standing on the platform, where sleep coach would come. So I told him that we need to go to the extreme in order to get in to the general compartment of train, when train arrives.

He responded like this, "No problem, we can get in to sleeper compartment".

Me: TT will come for inspection. We may need to pay panality.

That person: No problem. Will see, if he comes. How much will charge on us?
He questioned me.

Me: It may be about Rs.60. TT may not give bill for that.

That person (very casually): Sixty only... we will give, if he comes.

He was saying very very casually, that it is not a mistake, as if he is breathing air or drinking water.

Then I was quite and decided not to argue or not to say thing to that guy, as I realized that he would not listen to my words, if I discuss on this.

After wards, I walked towards to one end of platform, where General coach comes, thinking about the very pathetic view of that fellow citizen.

I realized from that incident that, reason for corruption is not only the corrupt officials or politicians, we as a common citizen also responsible.

We say politicians should be honest, officers should be honest and .....bla .. bla...
But we never say we should be clean and should not offer any form of bribe what ever situation may be.
